IRebuildMarantz: Our Service and Policies

Policies:

We only perform complete restorations due to the age and needs of these 1970's series components. Although we do perform repair work, a full restoration will also be required to insure the repair will last.

We operate on a first come, first served basis and assign each item an invoice number when you sign up and pay your deposit*. Your restoration is listed in the queue when the invoice number is assigned and the current status is updated daily and visible to you via a link that is provided when you become a customer. Restorations start at a flat rate depending on the model. Please contact us for a direct quote on your restoration.

Our communication with customers is typically email only due to the amount of time that phone calls take away from bench time, however phone contact may be available upon specific request.

Once your restoration is complete, your receiver will be double-boxed (reusing your shipping materials if possible) and shipped back to you via UPS Ground service with insurance. You have the option to specify details regarding insurance and shipping carrier. Please indicate via email if you have an insurance or shipping preference. Shipping to Canada, Mexico and overseas are only available upon specific contact and prior arrangements. Please don't send your equipment until these arrangements are made.

We encourage eBay buyers to have the unit shipped directly to us from the seller to save on shipping costs. We are more than happy to accommodate you!

*As of 4/1/09, all restorations will require a $100 minimum deposit. This deposit covers the cost of your new parts and insures the completion of your restoration. IRebuildMarantz.com only accepts PayPal. All deposits are applied to the final restoration bill and are otherwise not refundable. Signing up and/or paying a deposit to IRebuildMarantz.com for services constitutes acceptance of these policies.

Warrantee:

Restorations are warranteed for a period of 2 years from the invoice date and are limited to parts installed by IRebuildMarantz.com, only. IRebuildMarantz.com will cover the direct replacement of these parts, labor additional. (Because the IRebuildMarantz.com restoration replaces the parts that cause 99% of the failures in these devices, the possibility of a failure is actually much, much lower compared to prior to the restoration). Shipping and insurance is always the responsibility of the device owner. We reuse shipping materials provided by the customer. We recommended customers follow our packing and shipping pages to ensure safe shipment. IRebuildMarantz will not be held responsible for shippng errors, damages or loss. Warrantee is non-transferable. We will not be held responsible for damaged units, abused or modified units, nor for any costs out of our control. All work, warrantee or otherwise will be at the discretion of IRebuildMarantz.com. No other warrantee is expressed or implied. Policy is subject to change without notice.

And, depending on the model of your receiver, you may also receive a new power cord and speaker protection relay. (each restoration is slightly different and, as such, may differ slightly from this description).

The receiver is like new in every way. It looks and sounds better than you have ever seen or heard it. The new parts and solder return the solidity to the receiver ensuring many years of trouble free operation. New LEDs mean you will probably never have to replace a lamp again (and they use less electricity).
